Home Sweet Home

Well, Tour is over, back to the real world.
I think we all are suffering from a little Post Tour Depression Syndrome (P.T.D.S.) but it really does feel good to be home with all our friends and families again. The last two show of the tour were some of the best I think, there were so many awesome people we knew at both of them which made them very special and the crowds were great.

Last shows are notorious for pranks, we really didn't get hit too hard, before we went on stage a certain person dumped flour on Ryan's snare drum so as he started the song he was covered in a white cloud, it was pretty rad actually. and at the end of the last song several masked men who looked alot like Drew Shirley, Jon and Tim Foreman came out and heckled us. It was all good.
We were able to join Relient K while they played Sadie Hawkins Dance and jumped around a bit then stage dived, it was the first time for Dustin and it was actually quite pleasant.
Switchfoot has a part in their set where they all freeze and stay absolutely still and silent, so we tried to pull a prank by running on stage and freezing with them but they decided to skip that part of the song and we were all left on the stage looking like fools. They are good.

Well we are happy to have some time off for the holidays, keep checking our schedule for upcoming shows, we have some stuff in the works which might be coming back to your town.

The Best Coast.

Ahem...
I mean the west coast. We are in beautiful sunny southern California and loving it, the sun is out and it is warm. Today we drove up the 101 from Irvine to San Luis Obispo listening to some Elvis, good times.

I left off when we were heading to New York city, we all agreed that it was arguably the best show that we've been to, just an epic memorable night and I was able to find a super sweet pair of gloves on the subway too. Bonus.

We are sadly starting to realize that the tour is wrapping up, it has been so awesome . Any of you friends along the west coast should do your best and come hang out with us at one of our shows. we would be stoked to see you.
take care friends.

Howdy friends,
We are in lovely Knoxville Tennessee, We had a few days break in Nashville to relax and rest but now we are back on the ole road. We are half way through the tour already and time is flying by, we have been having so many good times its been unreal. Everynight we get the pleasure of joining Switchfoot and several Relient K fellows to perform the song "rebuild" if you haven't already been to www.switchfoot.com to check out the song you should.
A while back we stopped at a Louisiana alligator farm and took some pics, we had never really seen real live alligators before so we were pretty awestruck, they are awesomeWe asked our awesome tour guide if she loved her job, she answered: "theres a difference between love and respect" as she pokes a 16ft red eyed alligator with a stick...classic.
take care friends

Baton Rouge

Hello friends
Its been a while since the last update, we have been super busy but having a rad time.
Most of our days consist of driving in the van, unloading gear, then playing, then loading said gear back into the trailer and driving some more. Sleeping and eating are thrown in here and there when and where we can get it.
The shows have been great, all of the people are amazing to us and we are constantly amazed at Switchfoot and Relient K. Great guys with great music. Thank you to all you guys that have come out to the shows, you make it fun.

We are hungry for construction

Howdy,
Today was the third day of THE APPETITE FOR CONSTRUCTION TOUR and all is well. Two days ago we played in Charleston West Virginia, being the first night of tour we were some anxious little boys but everything turned out fine and we had a wonderful time. All the fellas in both bands and crew are super nice, we love them already. By the way, if you haven't seen either Switchfoot or Relient K play recently you need to get a ticket and make it to one of these shows, both bands put on an absolutely incredible show, you won't be disappointed. I promise.
Last night in Columbus we played in the giant veterans memorial auditorium, probably the largest place Ruth has ever played. It was a really fun night, a highlight was when Switchfoot invited Matt Thiessen of Relient K and us to join them on stage for their new song "Rebuild". There were shakers, harmonicas, cowbells and tambourines a plenty. The show tonight in Grand Rapids Michigan was crazy, Everyone was just plain awesome.

thanks for checking in, we love you all.
